Památník písemnictví na Moravě - Museum of literature in Moravia
The Museum was opened for the public in the precincts of the Benedictine Monastery at Rajhrad in 2005. It invites visitors to a permanent exhibition presenting major writers connected with Moravia from the 9th. to the 20th. centuries, temporary exhibitions and a guided tour of the restored period Benedictine Library holding eighteen thousand books. The library collection contains some 65 000 volumes. The Library of the Rajhrad Benedictine Abbey and the Library of the Brno Regional Museum, both administered by the Museum of literature in Moravia, are accessible for the professional researcher public.
At the box office you can buy suveniers relating to exhibitions and installations at the Museum and Monastery.
To visit the Museum you can use regular IDS JMK transportation lines train, BUS
